Hi, I'm French Claire!

Welcome to Learn French with French Claire...

Bonjour! I'm Claire Holland, though my young pupils know me as "Madame Holland," and everyone else calls me "French Claire." I am the founder of ‘Learn French with French Claire’. My journey with the French language began in the picturesque region of Brittany. I was indeed born in Rennes, its capital, and raised in a multicultural home... my mother, a native French speaker and English teacher, and my father, a proud Brit and travel agent. Growing up bilingual allowed me to appreciate the richness of both French and English, sparking my lifelong passion for language education.

From a young age, my favourite game to play with my sister was being the teacher, with her and our friends as my students. I have always found such joy in sharing what I know with others in a caring and personalised way. Being a native French speaker, my love for French culture and language became a passion that led me to pursue a career in teaching, specialising in helping learners of all ages and backgrounds master French fluency.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, I've crafted a customised approach that caters to individual learning styles and goals. Whether you're a child discovering French for the first time, a teenager preparing for exams, or an adult eager to explore a new language, my goal is to make your learning journey enjoyable and rewarding.

At ‘Learn French with French Claire’, we believe in fostering a supportive environment where every student feels empowered to embrace the French language. Beyond language skills, our classes celebrate the nuances of French culture, offering a holistic learning experience that goes beyond textbooks.

My wonderful tutor and assistant, Madame Karen Shephard, also teaches classes on my behalf. Her level of French is excellent, she is caring and professional, and the children love her.
